Teachers Comments
Here are some teachers’ comments following school visits:
“The children were tired in the end but all talked openly and positively about their experiences on the farm and would like to come back.”
(Short Heath)“Really enjoy feeding and helping with the animals. I always learn something new about the area when I come here! Excellent day, can’t wait to come back.”
(Nonsuch)“One teacher had never visited before, the other not for 30 years!! We both learnt a good deal about modern farming and how to use a farm visit to support the schools’ curriculum – so relevant to many areas of the curriculum, especially practical application of Number, some excellent opportunities for reading aloud to the class.”
(Aston Tower)“I thought it was wonderful and so did the children, lots of hands on work and relevant problem solving. A wonderful day enjoyed by all. The eggs were delicious too! A very educational and exciting day, thank you so much.
(Chandos)“We brought a mixed group of our highest ability children who will follow up the visit at their own individual levels and Nina worked on this basis. We are looking forward to visiting the new farm.”
(Cherry Oak)“I have been to the farm on a number of occasions, and still learn more, it is the one trip that the children continue to talk about. Looking forward to visits with milking again.”
(Quinton Church Primary)“All the staff and helpers learn a lot alongside the children. We are trying for Eco-schools status and this gave us more ideas. We always enjoy coming to see Nina at the farm – looking forward to the new farm and more visits lovely to see the lambs.”
