What we do

about-us

Centre Ethos

  • Learning is enjoyable at Mount Pleasant School Farm
  • The activities provided are fun, practical, exciting and designed to motivate pupils.
  • Learning takes place in a non-formal environment where the pupils can experience a variety of teaching and learning styles.
  • Individuals matter and it is important that each person feels valued.
  • Everyone is equal – we have no preconceptions of visitors.
  • Pupils are encouraged to have respect for each other, the farm animals and farmer’s property, as well as for the diversity of life found in the surrounding farmland and countryside.
  • Every living thing, however small, has a part to play and should be valued.
  • Pupils are encouraged to take turns, listen to each other and share resources.
  • We aim to make pupils feel good about themselves through the use of praise and encouragement.
  • We make sure that sessions at the centre are tailored to meet the needs of individual groups and pupils.
  • Environmental Sustainability Policy 2025 – 2027
